GLORY RECORDS!

Glory Records Has A New CEO!

Meet Laura Funderburk, the new CEO of Glory Records! Laura is the sister of the founder of Glory Records, Rebecca Funderburk and is very excited to take over for the company. Keeping this business in the family is very important for Rebecca and she wanted to transfer this extremely important responsibility over to someone she really trusts. The company is going to be in great hands with Laura as the new CEO because she is just as passionate about this company as Rebecca is. Before becoming the new CEO of Glory Records, Laura was very involved in the creation and upbringing of this company. There were many long nights worth of brainstorming in which Laura assisted with. There were also many times of frustration that Rebecca faced for which Laura provided a lending ear and a willing mind to see Rebecca happy with the success of the company.

A little history on Laura Funderburk is that she is a Washington, DC native. Her passions include the pursuit of education. One of her life goals is to educate people on the things she feels strongly about such as foundational christian principles. She has a heart to see the media have a more promeninent christian presence. One of the things Laura really feels strongly about is providing quality production that mirror christian pricnicples for christians to enjoy. She is dedicated to changing the face of christian hip hop music away from being corny rhymes and beats to deep topics of discussion and high quality music.

Laura has a lot of plans for this company and is very glad to take over for her sister Rebecca. Rebecca's interests are moving into a different direction with her career being focused on more business ventures. She is intersted in building more businesses in the entertainment industry with a christian focus and doesn't want to drop the ball with Glory Records. Glory Records was built from the ground up by Rebecca with a lot of help from other supporters along the way and she feels very strong about this company's success. This is why enlisting her sister to take over will be the best decision for the company and it's success.

Moving forward, Laura has made it clear that she is dedicated to preserving the mission statement of the company which is to provide quality music and entertainment that appeals to christians. The company will be put into the hands of someone that has a fresh pair of eyes but also a familiar mind. The fresh perspective will come because she hasn't worked as closely with the project as Rebecca did but she is still familiar with the company through her past involvement. The trasnition to her being the new CEO should be very smooth.

Some things to look forward to is that Laura is looking to implement some more policies regarding the staff such as revamping the paid time off policy and possibly extending maternity leave. She is also looking to add some more relaxing benefits to Glory Records office in order to accomodate the employees for their long hours. Glory Records is always looking to beter improve the company all the way around from the employees to the consumers. Glory Records still believes in the best way to have a successful product is to make sure that the employees are happy and excited to put the product out. Unhappy employees lead to a high turnover rate and a lot of sloppiness with the product. Glory Records wants to make sure that the employees do a good job on their work because they are happy to do it and feel appreicated. Laura is looking at more ways to make sure this is a priority. That is one of the things to look forward to Laura's time as Glory Records' new CEO.
